Support A Sioux Falls Organization's Stand Against Domestic Violence

August 10, 2017

Domestic violence is the leading cause of injury to women in the U.S., and  each year nearly 10 million children witness some form of domestic abuse.

These are just a few of many reasons that this month, Security National Bank of South Dakota is donating to The Compass Center, a Sioux Falls organization that assists victims of sexual assault and domestic violence. The center, which also offers a batterer intervention program and community education initiative, helps more than 1,000 people each year in the Sioux Falls metro area.

You can help, too. SNB South Dakota is calling on the Sioux Falls community to donate particular items that will help fill a need at The Compass Center:

  • Children’s Books (new & gently used)
  • Puzzles
  • Craft Kits
  • Non-Perishable Candy
  • Make-up/Cologne Gift Sets

Please, drop off any of these items at either SNB South Dakota branch location at 6601 S. Louise Ave. or 4621 West 26th Street. We will be collecting items between Aug. 10 and Sept. 10 at both branches.

Thank you for taking the time to support this wonderful organization, and let’s continue to help our community take a stand against domestic violence!
